April 16, 2014 – Hong Kong – The Hoffman Agency, an independent PR agency with eight offices across the globe, including San Jose, Beijing, Hong Kong, Korea, London, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo has hired Ann Hung to join their Hong Kong Operation as general manager, and appointed Jenny Chan as vice president, new business development and marketing for APAC.

Ann Hung is a veteran in the Hong Kong PR industry, bringing more than 17 years of in-house and agency experience. Ann is a trusted advisor to senior executives on communication and media relations strategies in the Asia Pacific Region, having worked with some of the largest brands including F5 Networks, IBM, Polycom, Eaton, SWIFT, Grant Thornton, Starbucks and more. Prior to joining Hoffman, Ann worked in several senior positions for Bite, Thomson Reuters and Ketchum.

There are a growing number of start-ups and multinationals based in Asia looking for cross-cultural communications counsel in the US and Europe. And a similar dynamic has US companies increasingly looking to Asia. To capitalize on this trend, Jenny Chan who has been holding the post of general manager, Hong Kong since 2011 has been appointed as Vice President, Business Development and Marketing (APAC). Under Chan’s leadership, the Hong Kong office continued to achieve year-on-year double digit growth, and expanded the Agency’s client portfolio to include prominent brands such as China Mobile, Internet Society Hong Kong, Chicago Booth, Siemens, Bosch, A.S. Watson Group, Cyberport and more. Leveraging Chan’s experience and proven track record in winning and managing multi-country accounts, Chan will drive regional initiatives that will support new business opportunities and elevate the Agency’s position within the PR industry in this newly created role.
